Fake News Strikes Again: CNN Downplays New Orleans ISIS Attack.

Thursday’s CNN Newsroom cast dissed the Democratic Mayor of New Orleans for calling the ISIS attack an act of terrorism.

Juliette Kayyem, a security analyst who thinks Trump is a terrorist, patronized Mayor LaToya Cantrell and others for believing what they saw- explosive devices and a truck plowing into a crowd with an ISIS flag.

CNN’s Pamela Brown asked Kayyem, “You say ‘we’re looking into all possibilities’ because it’s so early, you don’t really know. And there were these explosive devices. This suspect shot at police and hit two police officers. Ten people are killed. More than 30 in the hospital…how do you see this?” Brown looks dismayed and speculative thought crossing her facial expression.

The definition of terrorism is an attack on civilians by a non-state actor in order to intimidate them in pursuit of a religious and or political objective. If what happened in New Orleans does not fit that definition, then what does?

Kayyem replied, “Yeah, I just think the mayor made a mistake. Let’s just, you know, in some ways, move on. It has to be clarified. I do not think she should have come out. You actually saw the people behind her, sort of, flinch. She was speaking as a politician and as someone who governs the city that this was terrorizing. It was terrible. It was terror for those there. But we are now in the investigation and prosecution stage.”

CNN Newsroom dismissed the clear definition of terrorism, discrediting those aware of the threat. One side marches under the banner of pride, the other expects public panic- irrational people, allegedly suspicious of violence. The Left’s fake sense of tolerance demolished in the realm of common sense.
