If you’ve ever flown on a plane with a crying baby, you know how frustrating and stressful it can be. You may feel sorry for the parents, annoyed by the noise, or even angry at the situation. But how you react can make a big difference in how the flight goes for everyone involved.
Recently, a Southwest Airlines passenger learned this lesson the hard way when he lost his mind over a crying baby on a flight from Baltimore to Miami. According to witnesses and videos posted online, the man started yelling and cursing at the flight attendants and other passengers, demanding that they do something about the baby.
“The child has been crying non-f–king stop!” he shouted. “We are with a baby in a go**amn echo chamber and you want to talk to me about being f**king okay?!”
The flight attendants tried to calm him down, but he refused to cooperate. He also refused to wear his mask properly, which is a federal requirement. Eventually, the plane had to return to the gate, where police officers escorted him off the flight.
The incident caused a delay for the other passengers, some of whom defended the baby and his parents. One woman said: “That is so wrong. He did nothing wrong. Wow!” But the belligerent man continued, “Did that mother**ker pay extra to yell?” in reference to the baby.
Flight attendant: “You’re yelling”
Passenger: “So is the baby!”
Flight attendant: “Well you’re a man”
Passenger: “Did that mf pay extra to yell?”Lmfaooooopic.twitter.com/qDSFV89ay6

This is not the first time that a Southwest Airlines passenger has been kicked off a plane for behaving badly. In the past, passengers have been removed for not wearing masks, tweeting about rude gate agents, or being intoxicated.
Babies cry, so be flexible and adaptable. Look for solutions instead of problems. Focus on what you can control instead of what you can’t. And remember that this too shall pass.
