Tom Brady has done something extraordinary, and it’s something that could soon be shared with Brett Favre. The retired NFL star has kept a low-profile since his last game of the season; a disappointing wildcard loss to the Cowboys earlier this year. He has only made cameos at events around Miami, such as UFC 280 last weekend. But according to Rich Eisen, there are reports from the NFL Combine in Indianapolis that Brady may not be finished yet and the Miami Dolphins are a ‘team to watch’.
The Dolphins have made it clear that Tua Tagovailoa will be their main quarterback for now, but due to his injury history and Teddy Bridgewater’s backup role, there are some uncertainties surrounding the position. This is why having Tom Brady just a stone’s throw away from Hard Rock Stadium could be beneficial if Tagovailoa were to get injured again. It would give them an experienced player who knows how to handle and manage different situations with confidence.
We’ve seen Tom Brady put up some great numbers over the years, with seven Super Bowl wins, 9 AFC titles and 15 Pro Bowl selections under his belt. He was also named MVP for 5 Super Bowls and has thrown for over 89,000 passing yards throughout his career – making him one of the most, if not the most, successful quarterback of all time. On top of this, he holds various records such as being the oldest non-kicker player in NFL history (45 years old) at the time of his last game.
This potential move could be great for the Dolphins, but I think that all of this would be a joke and a mess. Brady doesn’t have the same skills that he once did. I think people are tired of him now. With all this taken into account, it will certainly be interesting to see whether or not this move takes place.
