WATCH! Piers Morgan Wrecks Joy Reid’s Excuses—“It Wasn’t Race, It Was You”

Joy Reid wants you to believe MSNBC canceled her show because she’s a Black woman. Not because her ratings tanked 28% in one year. Not because even loyal viewers started clicking away mid-monologue. No, it must be racism—because in Joy Reid’s world, everything is racism. America didn’t stop watching The ReidOut because of Joy’s skin color. They stopped watching because they were tired of her endless lectures on how awful they are. Even Piers Morgan had to say what everyone’s been thinking: “People just got bored with it.” And while Reid cries foul, CBS was busy axing The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for “financial reasons.” Translation: his smug liberal sermons stopped pulling numbers too. Maybe, just maybe, networks care more about profits than identity politics.

Ratings Don’t Lie—Even If Joy Does

In February 2025, The ReidOut averaged 973,000 viewers—a 28% drop from the year before. To Reid, this isn’t a red flag. It’s somehow a badge of victimhood. She claims her ratings decline was “smaller than other MSNBC shows,” as if advertisers care about who’s the least unpopular in a sinking ship. Meanwhile, Colbert—once the golden boy of late-night comedy—watched his audience vanish just as fast. CBS executives cited “financial reasons” for cutting him loose, proving that when your viewers disappear, so does your paycheck.

The Left Eats Its Own—Again

There’s something poetic about Joy Reid being swallowed by the very outrage machine she helped build. This is the same woman who once called Justice Clarence Thomas “Uncle Clarence,” mocked Senator Tim Scott as a GOP prop, and labeled Rep. Byron Donalds “the Black guy Republicans love to roll out.” She spent years peddling divisive rhetoric, turning every political disagreement into a racial battlefield. And now she’s shocked—shocked—that MSNBC decided her schtick wasn’t worth the ad dollars. Colbert’s demise only underscores the point: even liberals eventually get tired of being lectured by their own.

Piers Morgan Says What We’re All Thinking

During their tense interview, Piers Morgan called Reid out for what she is: toxic. “You racialize more conversations in your tenure at MSNBC than any host in history,” Morgan said. He’s right. Reid’s entire brand became one long, exhausting identity-politics sermon. And while she sputtered back, Colbert’s cancellation loomed like the ghost of liberal television past. Turns out, making half the country your punchline isn’t a winning business strategy anymore.

Toxicity Doesn’t Sell—Not Even on MSNBC

Reid’s MSNBC exit wasn’t about silencing Black voices. It was about silencing bad ones. Even liberals eventually get tired of being told they’re terrible people by someone cashing million-dollar checks for saying it. When your only card to play is the race card, don’t be surprised when the audience folds.
