Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana appeared on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” to discuss the message that voters sent to Washington “experts” in last Tuesday’s election. He explained that despite what the so-called experts say, the message was simple: “Republicans aren’t perfect, but the other side is crazy.”
Kennedy pointed out that President Trump’s campaign ran ads featuring Vice President Kamala Harris discussing her support for transgender prisoners receiving sex changes, while Trump himself supported banning biological men from competing in women’s sports. This stark contrast between the two candidates was a clear indication that Republicans stood for common sense policies and values, while the Democrats’ agenda was extreme and out of touch with everyday Americans.
The senator also addressed the rumor about a list circulating the internet supposedly showing how every Republican senator would vote for Senate majority leader. He dismissed it as fake and comically added, “If you think this list is real or accurate, then you probably think that Elvis is alive and running a small bait stand on Lake Erie.”
Kennedy then shared his confidence in the ability of Republicans to confirm President Trump’s nominees for important positions and replace those currently in place who he referred to as “meatheads.”
Kennedy reassured viewers that they will pick a leader who will advance President Trump’s agenda. He emphasized that the party stands united in their support for the president and his policies, and they will continue to fight for what is best for the American people.
