She further expressed her contempt, stating, “It is wild to me when I hear how anti-immigrant they are as immigrants, many of them. I’m talking about people that literally just got here and can barely vote that are having this kind of attitude.” This is not political analysis; it is a grotesque and racist caricature that insults the intelligence and agency of an entire demographic, painting them as self-hating simpletons for rejecting the Democratic platform of open borders and lawlessness.
When confronted by Tapper on live television, Crockett’s attempted defense was a masterclass in evasion and incoherence. Tapper pointedly noted that around a million Latino voters in Texas supported President Trump and asked, “Do they all have slave mentality?” Crockett floundered, claiming, “No, and that’s not what that said at all, to be clear.
