Folks, it’s time for another episode of Your Tax Dollars at Work—except instead of fixing potholes, improving schools, or securing our border, we’re paying for circumcisions in Mozambique.
No, you didn’t misread that. The U.S. government was set to ship $10 million of your hard-earned cash overseas to fund voluntary medical male circumcisions in Mozambique. But don’t worry, it’s all in the name of “public health.” You know, because we’ve apparently solved all our domestic problems and have excess funds just lying around for foreign medical procedures.
Luckily, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) stepped in and put a stop to this nonsense, along with $729 million in other useless spending programs. And yet, the left is losing their minds over it. Imagine being outraged that American taxpayers aren’t footing the bill for overseas circumcisions. This should be a bipartisan no-brainer, but here we are—Democrats foaming at the mouth because we aren’t sending even more of our money to causes that have absolutely nothing to do with us.
Let’s Talk About Priorities
Just to be clear, we’re not talking about emergency aid, food relief, or anything remotely necessary. We’re talking about spending American tax dollars on procedures for people who aren’t Americans and don’t live in America. Meanwhile, our infrastructure is falling apart, homelessness is skyrocketing, and veterans are being left out in the cold.
Where’s the outrage about that?
But no, the biggest crisis—if you ask the left—is that taxpayers aren’t paying for circumcisions in Mozambique anymore. The horror!
Other Ridiculous Programs We Were Funding
DOGE didn’t just cut the circumcision circus. Here’s a taste of some other programs they shut down:
- $14 million for “improving public procurement” in Serbia. (Because buying office supplies more efficiently in Serbia is obviously our responsibility.)
- $29 million for “strengthening the political landscape in Bangladesh.” (Why do we care?)
- $47 million for “improving learning outcomes in Asia.” (Meanwhile, American schools are failing left and right.)
- $14 million for “social cohesion” in Mali. (That’s code for “whatever nonsense they made up to funnel cash.”)
- $40 million for a “gender equality and women empowerment hub.” (Because nothing screams fiscal responsibility like a $40 million social justice slush fund.)
- $486 million to “strengthen elections and political processes” worldwide. (Including $22 million for Moldova and $21 million for voter turnout in India. Maybe we should secure our own elections first?)
That’s just a fraction of what DOGE cut. And yet, the usual suspects are screaming about how Musk is evil for daring to stop these idiotic programs.
Fraud, Waste, and the Left’s Unhinged Meltdown
Now, let’s get this straight—when Republicans want to cut government waste, it’s called “cruelty.” But when Democrats waste hundreds of millions of dollars on ridiculous pet projects, that’s just “compassion.”
How does that work exactly?
Wouldn’t saving taxpayer dollars be something we can all agree on? This isn’t even about politics. It’s about basic common sense. And yet, the left is so addicted to spending other people’s money that even the tiniest reduction in government waste sends them into a full-blown panic attack.
You’d think we were canceling Social Security the way they’re carrying on. No, we’re just not paying for surgeries in Africa. Calm down.

This is why Americans don’t trust the government. Because time and time again, we see stupidity like this. And when someone finally steps in and says, “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t be throwing away billions on nonsense,” the left acts like it’s the end of the world.
Here’s a wild idea—maybe, just maybe, we should spend American tax dollars on America.
