Indications Show Biden Administration’s Backing for Gender Transition Procedures in Minors

A Detailed Examination of the Biden Administration’s Position on Sex-Change Procedures for Minors

The stance of the Biden administration on the contentious matter of sex-change procedures for minors has been a subject of significant debate and criticism. Despite their public disavowal of support for such procedures, their actions seemingly tell another story. The administration has openly opposed state bans on these irreversible medical interventions and has maintained a close relationship with WPATH, a prominent organization promoting transgender medicine.

In a recent statement to The New York Times, the administration appeared to reverse its stance on sex-change surgeries for minors. However, their activities suggest otherwise. They have been strong supporters of legal challenges against laws intended to safeguard children from these procedures, including in states like Tennessee and Arkansas. Furthermore, they have implemented policies that foster transgender ideology in schools, potentially exposing children to risk.

A recent investigation by the Daily Caller News Foundation unveiled disturbing footage from behind the scenes at WPATH. In these videos, top doctors within the organization expressed concerns about the risks and complications associated with sex-change procedures for minors. Despite this, WPATH has continued to advocate for these procedures and even worked to eliminate age restrictions for them.

Recently unsealed court documents have also thrown light on the involvement of Rachel Levine, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services. These documents reveal that Levine exerted pressure on WPATH to align their guidelines with the political objectives of the Biden administration, potentially jeopardizing the organization’s commitment to evidence-based medicine.

In its 2021 draft guidelines, WPATH initially set age restrictions for various transgender procedures, such as hormone therapy and surgeries. However, internal communications reveal Levine’s push for the organization to eliminate these age restrictions in favor of political objectives. And members of WPATH expressed fears that these actions could lead to harmful legislation against transgender care.

The Biden administration has also publicized its involvement in court cases opposing bans on transgender procedures for minors. In a March 2023 press release, the White House proudly announced its intervention in these cases, purporting to protect the rights of transgender youth and their families. However, critics argue that this intervention merely serves to advance the administration’s agenda and disregard the concerns and risks associated with these procedures.

Despite its attempts to deny support for sex-change surgeries for minors, the actions of the Biden administration suggest otherwise. Their collaboration with WPATH and support for legal challenges against state bans on these procedures indicate a clear agenda, rather than a commitment to protecting the well-being of minors.

The people aren’t foolish…
