Teen Uses Slingshot to Save Sister from Kidnapper

Last week, a 14-year-old boy in Michigan used his slingshot to save his 8-year-old sister from a kidnapper who tried to drag her into the woods. The boy, who witnessed the attack from his backyard, shot the assailant twice with his slingshot, hitting him in the head and chest. The girl managed to escape and ran to her brother’s side. The kidnapper, a 17-year-old male, fled the scene but was later arrested by the police.

This incident is a remarkable example of bravery and quick thinking by the young hero, who risked his own life to protect his sister. He also helped the police identify the suspect, who had visible injuries from the slingshot. According to the police, the suspect confessed that he planned to severely beat the girl.

The siblings were mushroom hunting on their property in Alpena County when the kidnapper emerged from the woods and grabbed the girl from behind. He covered her mouth and wrapped his arm around her waist. The boy saw what was happening and grabbed his slingshot, which he had with him as a toy. He fired two shots at the kidnapper, causing him to release the girl.

The police praised the boy for his heroic actions and said he saved his sister from a potentially fatal situation. The kidnapper is being charged as an adult with one count of attempted kidnapping/child enticement, one count of attempted assault to do great bodily harm less than murder and one count of assault and battery.

The girl was not injured in the attack. She is grateful to her brother for saving her life.

The police are commending the boy for his quick thinking and bravery. They say that he is a hero.

Praising the teen who saved his sibling, Lieutenant John Grimshaw from the Michigan State Police Department said, “He really is the one that I believe saved his sister’s, either life, or [from] something seriously bad happening to her. For a 14-year-old to see that and pop into action that quickly is extraordinary, and he should be commended for it.”

“You wouldn’t think in this world that if you were playing in your own backyard or on your own property that you would be concerned about something like this, but it just goes to show that there’s evil out there, and it can find anybody anywhere,” he added.

This incident is a reminder of the dangers of child abduction. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and to take precautions to protect yourself and your children. If you see something suspicious, report it to the police immediately.

  1. I love it. I have a wrist rocket and can take you out at 20 paces. Way to go little man. It doesn’t take a gun and it is so stealth.
