Holly Leeann Flores Charged in Texas Stabbing of Husband and Two Children

Police Found a Family Gravely Injured

Northlake police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Daylily Drive at about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday after a man reported that his wife had a knife and had stabbed him. Officers arrived within minutes and detained 37-year-old Holly Leeann Flores. Inside the house, they found the 34-year-old caller, whom police and local outlets identified as Flores’s husband, with a stab wound to the head. A 3-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy were also found with stab wounds to the chest. All three were taken to a Fort Worth hospital. NBC 5 reported that police believe Flores is the mother of the children, but investigators could not immediately confirm whether the injured man is their father. Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford said he believed the children would survive, although no formal condition update had been released.

Flores Faces Serious Preliminary Charges

Flores was also injured and was taken to a Denton hospital for observation. She was treated and released before being booked into the Denton County Jail. According to FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth, the preliminary charges include two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police have not disclosed a motive.

Police Had Been Called to the Home Before

The address was already known to Northlake police. Chief Crawford told NBC 5 that officers had been called to the home about five times since March, mostly for welfare concerns. He said those calls came from the residence itself rather than from neighbors, but he did not provide additional details. That history is an important part of the timeline, though it does not by itself explain Tuesday morning’s violence. The case now includes both the earlier welfare calls and the pre-dawn emergency response that sent three people to the hospital.

Other Texas Cases Have Also Involved Children

The report also described other recent Texas cases involving alleged violence against children. In Ellis County, 42-year-old Colleen Nichole Lemmon was charged with two counts of capital murder after deputies said she shot and killed her sons, ages 21 and 15, inside their Waxahachie home on October 1. The older son was pronounced dead at the scene, while the younger son died at a hospital. Lemmon was booked on a $2.5 million bond. In west Houston, police said a mother shot and killed her 4-year-old daughter inside a Memorial-area townhome after a custody hearing, then shot herself in the face. The child died, while the mother was expected to survive.
